In this episode I discuss the biggest news in the science of lucid dreaming since the 70’s. How lucid dreams can be induced by an electrical current and the device I am working to do just that. Also follow-up on my second supplements experiment.

Hi,
enjoyed info in episode 12, I am interested in your results on induction via electric current. I have been working on ELDIS and using electromagnetic stimulation ever since that article came out, you can see my experiment at http://youtu.be/l8bSQnjZElo.
Thanks. I will keep updating on the podcast as I progress.
Why did you go with magnetic stimulation btw? Also, if you are only testing it by yourself with no one else monitoring or observing, please please be careful. Do you have fail safes in place? You don’t want the current to activate but not either have a time limit or something else that would make it stop.
Thanks for the concern,
I went with magnetic stimulation as because I thought it would be safer than directly stimulating the brain with current. The peak field strengths are relatively low, approx 6x earth magnetic field strength at 1 coil diameter from coil, If this has any effect remains to be seen.
The code controlling the relays is a simple delay function that turns them on for 30 seconds then off, so it is straightforward and unlikely to fail. The coil switching circuit is also simple and if the power or turn on/off signal is interrupted the coils will be deactivated.
just an added note i wanted to share a website that discusses and experiment on brainwave entrainment with electromagnetic fields:
http://journal.borderlands.com/1999/effects-of-6-10-hz-elf-on-brain-waves/
not sure how scientific it is but it does bring up interesting possibilities.
